The FDA has warned that people with an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds could have a reaction if they drink Lactaid from this time range in September.

That’s no problem for most people, but as the FDA-posted recall notice says, “people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.”

Several types of Lactaid milk that were distributed and sold U.S. -- including in Michigan -- have been recalled because of possible undeclared almond in the milk. The Food and Drug Administration says it is unaware of any illnesses caused by the problem,
