Futurecast shows this well...clouds over most of central and eastern Massachusetts Friday and Saturday with the rain confined to the extreme southeastern areas. There will be a very sharp rainfall cutoff.

CAPE RAIN After 29 consecutive days without measurable rainfall, the 4th longest dry stretch ever recorded in Boston, rain is returning to the area... Hopefully. A low will stall off of the Cape and South Coast over the next few days with plenty of clouds and periods of rain.
