Rich tributes were paid to him Yechury at CPI(M) headquarters in New Delhi, where his mortal remains were brought from his residence

New Delhi: Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi paid tribute to CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury at the CPI office in Delhi on Saturday. Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Ajay Maken, Rajeev Shukla, and several CPI (M) leaders and workers arrived at the CPI (M) office in Delhi to pay tribute to Yechury.

The body of CPI (M) veteran Sitaram Yechury was donated to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Saturday, for medical research. The ceremony, marked by chants of “Lal Salaam,” saw Yechury’s body wrapped in the red CPI (M) flag.

Hundreds of supporters, party leaders and members of the organisation gathered at the AKG Bhavan. A march was organised while Yechury's body was being taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to be donated for medical research.
