ATLANTA (AP) — Students at Apalachee High School outside Atlanta will return to campus for half-days beginning next week, Barrow County school officials announced, after a Sept. 4 shooting that killed four people and injured nine others.

The turnout for the service at Saint Matthew Catholic Church in Winder was so large that the parking lot overflowed.

Roughly 600 mourners honored 14-year-old Christian Angulo during a funeral mass at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Winder, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. He was among two students and two teachers killed Sept. 4 at Apalachee High School by a student armed with an assault-style rifle. Another teacher and eight other students were injured.

The funeral service for Christian Angulo, a victim of the deadly shooting at Apalachee High School in Barrow County was held on Friday morning. The mass was be held at Saint Matthew Catholic Church in Winder on Friday.

Apalachee High Principal Jessica Rehberg called it a “phased return to school” in a message of her own. School officials plan to have on-campus mental health support and space for relocated classes available for the return.

Family and friends said their final goodbye to one of the Apalachee High School shooting victims Friday. Funeral services for Christian Angulo were held at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Winder. A miles-long procession could be seen outside the church honoring the 14-year-old’s life.
