Jasprit Bumrah has taken 4-50 to help skittle Bangladesh for 149 and give India a first-innings lead of 227 runs on Day 2 of the first test.

Since his return to Test cricket earlier this year against England, Bumrah has already conjured moments of brilliance that fans would remember for years to come. When India were left dazed and confused by Bazball, it was Bumrah who brought them back and ultimately showed the way.

Bangladesh were alive in the game and fighting when off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz troubled the Indian batters with a five-wicket haul while defending a target of just 145 runs. In his five-for, Miraz dismissed Pujara, Gill, Kohli, Pant and Axar and had India reeling at 74/7. But, his effort went in vain as Iyer and Ashwin took India home.
