Helene made landfall in Florida's Big Bend region Thursday night as a massive Category 4 hurricane -- the strongest hurricane to make landfall in the Big Bend on record.

Hurricane Helene isn’t only expected to damage homes and vehicles; it has already resulted in at least 6 deaths and one injury, with more fatalities and injuries anticipated.

The storm carved a frightening swath Friday through a series of states usually less vulnerable to hurricane devastation, killing at least 34 in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
