England wrapped up their T20 International series against West Indies with two games to spare thanks to a three-wicket victory in St Lucia on Thursday evening.

England beat West Indies by three wickets in their T20 international in Saint Lucia on Thursday to take an insurmountable 3-0 lead in their five-match series. West Indies recovered from 37-5 to make 145-8 largely thanks to a solid 54 from skipper Rovman Powell but while England had some scares they won with four balls to spare.

England moved into an unassailable 3-0 lead in their five-match T20 series against the West Indies with a nervy three-wicket win in St Lucia. Saqib Mahmood’s three for 17 took his tally to nine wickets in three T20s – eight in the powerplay – as to reduce the West Indies to 37 for five before they recovered to post 145 for eight.

Fast bowler Saqib Mahmood again knocked the top off the West Indies innings to set up England’s three-wicket win in the third Twenty20 international.

The 50-over World Cup is far older and has been competed for since back in 1975. Australia are the record winners having run out victorious on five occasions (1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015).
